The AMA’s 2018 Health Information Technologies Conference will take place on November 13-15 in New York City, the AMA announced on Tuesday.
The event, which will feature AMA President and CEO Dr. Robert Laszewski and the AMA Healthcare Policy Committee, will feature more than 150 medical, scientific, technology and public policy experts and attendees from across the AMA’s various areas.
The AMA is the world’s largest professional association of physicians and medical professionals.
The AMA announced that the conference will be streamed live on the AMA website, as well as on the Healthcare Technology Alliance’s Healthcare Information Technology Network (HITN), which is a platform for AMA members to connect and share information on technology issues.
The conference will also be available to members via live AMA video, the announcement stated.
“The AMA is thrilled to announce the upcoming AMA Health Information Tech Conference in NYC, which includes AMA President Robert Las zewski and Healthcare Policy Chair Dr. Joseph E. Stiglitz, among others,” the AMA said in a statement.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the AMA to showcase AMA members’ efforts and their accomplishments in advancing technology to help improve healthcare.”
In addition to Laszekws medical expertise and expertise in health information technology, he is also a distinguished board member of the American Society of Health Information Technologists.
Laszewks company, HITN, provides technology solutions for medical device, data management and information technologies.
HITN is a non-profit, professional association that promotes the adoption and use of the HITN technology and develops standards for interoperability and interoperability-based technologies, according to its website.
The ACA’s Medicaid expansion program is set to begin in 2020.
The program is designed to provide healthcare coverage to adults and children who make up more than half of Medicaid recipients.
The announcement also noted that AMA members will be invited to participate in the AMA Medical Technology Forum, an annual event featuring medical and medical technology experts from the AMA and other healthcare industry leaders.
